1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Quyoom Ride application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Quyoom operates as a ride-sharing platform connecting users with independent captains. Quyoom is a technology platform and does not provide transportation services directly. All rides are provided by independent third-party captains.

3. Ride Types

3.1 Instant Ride

• Available in three vehicle categories: Normal (4 seats), Max (6 seats), and Premium (6 seats)
• Fixed pricing determined at booking
• Real-time captain tracking (updates every 30 seconds)
• Requires 4-digit ride code to start journey
• User may cancel if captain is significantly late
• Payment is completed offline directly with the captain

3.2 Shared Ride

• Pre-scheduled rides with multiple passengers
• Booking must be made in advance with specified pickup location, destination, and date
• Seat availability displayed in real-time
• Users may cancel up to 2 hours before scheduled ride time
• Additional seat requests subject to availability
• No real-time map tracking provided
• Payment is completed offline directly with the captain

3.3 Manual Ride

• Initiated by scanning captain's QR code
• Only captains with "Active" status can accept rides
• Destination is optional; pricing shown per kilometer if no destination specified
• Fixed fare shown before ride starts if destination is provided
• Payment is completed offline directly with the captain

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account

• Maintain accurate and current account information
• Protect your account credentials and 4-digit ride codes
• You are responsible for all activities under your account

4.2 Conduct

• Treat captains with respect and courtesy
• Arrive at pickup locations promptly
• Provide accurate destination information
• Do not engage in illegal activities during rides
• Follow all applicable traffic and safety regulations

4.3 Payment

• All payments are made offline directly to captains
• Pricing is fixed at the time of booking for Instant and Shared Rides
• Users are responsible for paying the agreed-upon fare

5. Cancellation Policy

5.1 Instant Ride

• Users may cancel if captain is significantly late
• Cancellation terms apply as per the App interface

5.2 Shared Ride

• Users must cancel at least 2 hours before scheduled ride time
• Late cancellations may result in penalties
• Driver cancellations (6+ hours before ride) result in automatic refund/notification

5.3 Manual Ride

• Cancellation terms are negotiated directly with the captain

6. Safety and Liability

6.1 Independent Drivers

• All captains are independent contractors, not employees of Quyoom
• Quyoom is not responsible for captain actions, vehicle condition, or ride quality
• Users ride at their own risk

6.2 Disputes

• Disputes regarding rides, payments, or conduct should be reported through the App
• Quyoom will attempt to facilitate resolution but is not liable for outcomes

6.3 Insurance

• Drivers are required to maintain appropriate vehicle insurance
• Users should verify captain credentials before beginning any ride

7. Location Data and Privacy

• The App collects location data to provide ride services
• Driver locations are updated every 30 seconds during Instant Rides
• Pickup and destination locations are stored to improve future search suggestions
• Duplicate locations with identical names will not be stored separately
• Your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy

8. Ride Completion

8.1 Instant Ride

• Rides must be started with a valid 4-digit code
• Users may end rides at any time
• Billing summary displayed after ride completion

8.2 Shared Ride

• Rides start at scheduled time regardless of individual passenger readiness
• All passengers notified when ride begins

8.3 Manual Ride

• Final fare calculation based on destination or distance traveled
• Billing displayed after ride completion

9. Prohibited Uses

• Use the App for illegal purposes
• Harass, abuse, or harm captains or other users
• Attempt to defraud captains or Quyoom
• Interfere with the App's operation
• Share account credentials
• Use the service if under 18 years of age without parental supervision

10. Modifications to Service

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature
• Change pricing structures with notice
• Update these Terms and Conditions
• Remove users who violate terms

11. Limitation of Liability

• Acts or omissions of captains
• Accidents, injuries, or property damage during rides
• Delays, cancellations, or service interruptions
• Loss of personal belongings
• Disputes between users and captains

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Quyoom harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in your city/state.
